Funding Priorities

In 2008, CHRP undertook a stakeholder input process to develop funding priorities in four research fields. Thematic priorities have been indentified each of the following research areas:

• Systems of Care and Prevention
• Social/Behavioral
• Clinical
• Basic Biomedical

Special Initiatives

With the support of AIDS Partnership California (APC), the State Office of AIDS, and other funding partners, CHRP sponsors special initiatives to respond to the changing needs of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in California. Ongoing initiatives include:

• Visioning Change
• Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
• California-Mexico AIDS Initiative
• Health Care Financing and Policy Research Initiative
